In the old days, when I still have bunch of acne in my face, several large pimples, and whiteheads and blackheads coming together and partying at my face, I love washing my hair using shampoo every day.
One thing I realized but didn’t pay much attention is that I always had irritation in my face after washing my hair. At the time, I don’t know why this could happen. I think I washed my hair regularly and it is a positive thing to do, but why my face irritated?
As you may know, when you become irritated, you are angry at something. Apparently, when my face becomes irritated, it was angry at something. But, over and over again, I keep washing my face with the same shampoo I always use; the result is always the same. There is always redness in my face because of irritation. And guess what, I look very ugly staring at my face in the mirror.
The problem didn’t stop here. The irritation becomes more apparent when I expose my skin under the sun. What a bad thing to see for others. I realized this problem and immediately seek for solution, and I found a clue.
It is said that shampoo can potentially worsen your skin condition, due to an ingredient which is irritating to the skin (I found this information from various online sources). This is a cheap ingredient, so, many shampoo products are using this ingredient to make the price of the shampoo remains cheap. It is called sodium laureth sulfate. This ingredient is the culprit of my irritation problem.
Knowing about this information, I immediately rush to a local store in my area and search for a shampoo product that doesn’t contain this ingredient. Fortunately, I found one, although it is a bit more expensive than my regular shampoo. It’s okay for the sake of my skin health!
To make my story shorter, I throw away my old shampoo to the trash bin and begin using my new shampoo. Because I love to wash my hair every day, I use this new shampoo every day.
For your information, this is a natural shampoo. Even though the price is slightly more expensive than my old chemical shampoo, I love the feel it gives to my scalp and hair. Definitely, it is better for my hair. After using this shampoo for a week, I didn’t see any irritation associated with washing my hair. It’s completely safe for my skin. I didn’t know that a simple change in shampoo can protect my skin from further redness and inflammation.
So, I want to suggest you to use shampoo without sodium laureth sulfate. Usually, natural shampoo works best for your skin.
Now, I need to end this. I you haven’t change your shampoo, I urge you to change it today. It can worsen your skin condition. Check the label. Does it contain sodium laureth sulfate? If so, change it today. I hope it can make you better.
